Kashmir 4 nights 5 Days Poetry Package
Day 1 - Arrival in Srinagar
• Upon arrival in Srinagar, you will be warmly welcomed by our representative and assisted with your transfer to the hotel or houseboat.
• Complete the check-in formalities and relax for a while before beginning your half-day sightseeing tour.
• Start your Magical Kashmir Trip with a visit to the famous Mughal Gardens—including Nishat Bagh and Shalimar Bagh, located along the eastern banks of Dal Lake.
• Visit the iconic Indira Gandhi Memorial Tulip Garden(only in March & April), the largest tulip garden in Asia, set against the scenic Zabarwan Mountain range with stunning views of Dal Lake.
• Continue sightseeing with a visit to Chashme Shahi, a beautiful Mughal garden renowned for its natural spring and open to visitors from March to November and head uphill to Pari Mahal.
• In the evening, enjoy a 1-hour Shikara ride on Dal Lake, surrounded by lotus flowers and breathtaking views of the Himalayan peaks.
• Return to your hotel or houseboat for dinner and a comfortable overnight stay.



Day 2 - Sufi Shrines & Lal Ded Poetry
• Morning visit to Khanqah-e-Moula, one of the oldest shrines, associated with Persian scholars and sufi saints who influenced Kashmiri poetic thought.
• Visit Pandrethan Temple ruins and explore the mystical verses of Lal Ded (14th century), who used poetry to express philosophy.
• Afternoon storytelling walk in Srinagar’s old city, where oral traditions, riddles, and folk tales have been passed down for centuries.
• Evening recitation of Vakhs of Lal Ded and Shruks of Nund Rishi in a quiet garden setting.
• Overnight in Srinagar.
Day 3 - Habba Khatoon & Village Tales
• Drive to Ganderbal & Sonamarg region where Habba Khatoon, the 16th-century poetess-queen, spent part of her life.
• Visit Habba Khatoon Spring in Sonamarg and learn about her tragic love story with Yusuf Shah Chak, immortalized in verse.
• Lunch in a local village home, where you will hear folk ballads and riddles (pahel) performed in Kashmiri.
• Return to Srinagar for an evening at leisure or a session on Persian poetry in Kashmir.
• Overnight in Srinagar.
Day 4 - Literature & Modern Voices
• Morning visit to University of Kashmir / Cultural Academy (subject to availability) for an interactive session with local writers, poets, or professors.
• Explore Kashmir’s manuscript collections and Persian calligraphy.
• Afternoon at Shalimar Garden, where Mughal emperors once invited poets to perform. Reading session of modern Kashmiri poets like Rehman Rahi, Dina Nath Nadim.
• Farewell Kashmiri Shaayari Night — a live performance of poetry, music, and storytelling.
• Overnight in Srinagar.
Day 5 - Departure from Srinagar
